Apple & Cinnamon Muffins

Add Total Yoghurt to cakes to replace some of the fat. It also makes the sponge lovely and moist.

Mix the fruity flavours of apple, with cinnamon and nutmeg to FAGE Total Yoghurt for a deliciously tasty muffin - perfect for breakfast or as a snack.

125g FAGE Total
200g plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
Pinch of salt
Pinch of ground nutmeg
2 tsp ground cinnamon
100g soft brown sugar
1 large egg
100g butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla essence
150g chunky apple sauce

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and in a separate bowl combine all of the liquid ingredients.
  2. Mix the two sets of ingredients together until evenly combined.
  3. Spoon into a muffin tin lined with paper muffin cases.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C / Gas Mark 6 for 12-15 minutes until golden and firm.
  5. Cool slightly and lightly dust with icing sugar before serving.
