A popover is a hollow roll, similar to a Yorkshire pudding and can be either sweet or savoury. This one is a chocolate spread and yoghurt popover.
175g FAGE Total
250ml milk, warm
3 large eggs, room temp
2 tbsp butter, melted
450g bread flour, sifted
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp chocolate spread
175g hazelnuts, husked, chopped
- Whisk the milk, yoghurt, eggs and melted butter together.
Quickly whisk in the flour, baking powder, salt and chocolate spread, being careful not to over whisk. Fold in the hazelnuts and leave to rest for 1 hour.
In a preheated oven 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4, heat a 12 hole non stick muffin tin with a little oil in each hole.
- Pour in the batter and bake for 20-25 minutes or until risen and golden.
