Greece is known worldwide for food
that is both fresh and flavourful.

For thousands of years, the essence of Greek cuisine has been based on two principles: use the freshest possible ingredients and prepare them simply. These are the key reasons the Greek diet is considered one of the healthiest in the world.
Blessed with its temperate Mediterranean climate and rich soil, Greece produces food that is both fresh and flavourful. You can experience it in a simple salad of cucumbers, tomatoes and feta; the unmistakable aroma and taste of grilled lamb chops; or the creamy flavour of Greek strained yoghurt with fruit.
Striving to live a healthy lifestyle filled with positive energy has been a central part of Greek culture for thousands of years. The idea of “good living” originated with Plato and the ancient philosophers, and it is just as vibrant today — when you sit down at any Greek table, the first order of business is still to raise your glass and toast all present with a robust “to your health!”

FAGE (pronounced ‘fa-yeh’) is proud of our Greek heritage, that our yoghurt is made by the same family using the same recipe for 90 years and that it has become a cornerstone of the Greek diet.

Our yoghurt is true to our heritage.

In recent years, the world has discovered what the Greeks have known for centuries: There’s nothing like the taste and versatility of strained yoghurt.
Naturally rich in protein and low in fat, Greek strained yoghurt is quite different from what most of the world knows as “yoghurt.” That’s because it is strained, resulting in a thick, creamy yoghurt containing more protein and fewer carbohydrates than non-Greek style yoghurt.
Few foods are as delicious or as versatile. In Greece, plain yoghurt is the most popular type of yoghurt and it is eaten at every time of day, as part of a meal or as a standalone snack. Tossed with cucumbers and garlic, it becomes the traditional sauce called tzatziki, a perfect complement to lunch or dinner. Drizzled with honey, plain Greek strained yoghurt is a simple yet indulgent dessert.

When you eat FAGE Total, you’re partaking in the ancient Greek tradition of “good living.” Cook with it, and you’re bringing the healthy Mediterranean lifestyle into your diet. Enjoy it, and you’re enjoying more than great-tasting, nutritious, all-natural Greek strained yoghurt. You’re enjoying a tradition and lifestyle that dates back thousands of years, one we’re proud to call our own and pleased to share with you.

For people around the world, FAGE yoghurt is more than Greek strained yoghurt. It’s part of life. And we invite you to make it part of yours.

Made the Greek way, with simply prepared ingredients.

FAGE Total is an extraordinary source of nutrition. Made using a family recipe that dates back to 1926, it contains no added sweeteners, thickeners, preservatives, powdered milk, and powdered cream or powdered protein. Just milk and live active yoghurt cultures are used to create all-natural FAGE Total. And, because it’s strained, it contains more protein than other yoghurts.
In the FAGE straining process, every four pounds of fresh, pasteurized cow’s milk are reduced to one pound of FAGE Total. We then add our very own live active yoghurt cultures produced at our facilities. All of this helps to create the signature FAGE Total taste.
Our straining technique removes all of the watery whey from the pasteurized cow’s milk, leaving you with only the thick, velvety texture of creamy FAGE yoghurt. The result is like no other, with unsurpassed taste and texture.

This careful, deliberate process has made FAGE the ambassador of Greek strained yoghurt worldwide.
